Dibs
Updated April 27, 2026Privacy Policy
Dibs is a meetup app for sports and social games. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service and never sell it.
What we collect
- Account: phone number or email, display name, optional avatar.
- Activity: games you create, join, or chat in; the activities you pick.
- Device: push tokens (only if you opt in to notifications), basic crash logs.
- Photos: only files you choose to upload as your avatar or game cover.
What we don't collect
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't read your contacts unless you tap "Invite friends" — and even then, names stay on your device.
- We don't sell or share data with advertisers.
How we use it
To run the app: show you upcoming games, deliver notifications you've opted into, calculate your Dibs Score from your show-rate and host quality, and keep abuse off the platform.
Storage & security
Data is stored on our secure backend (managed Postgres with row-level security) so only you and the people you've explicitly shared a game with can see your activity in that game. Auth tokens are stored securely on-device.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time inside the app (Profile → Danger Zone → Delete account). This wipes your profile, memberships, messages, push tokens and authored offers within 24 hours. Some aggregate metadata (e.g. an anonymised count of games hosted in a venue) may persist.
Children
Dibs is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
